Scenes from the 2016 CATE EDWARDS : Watercolours with a Difference Retreat

Cate Edwards’ first ‘Drawing with a Difference ‘ retreat  has been a geat success! and we will again be presenting this  in 2017. Working with watercolors to introduce transparency and the new techiques of puddling and veiling, we then moved onto intensely-coloured inks to complete our designs. This selection shows the versatility of a medium which is notoriously difficult to handle, but with Cate’s expert guidance, created a stunning collection of works, combining , as always, fun and friendship along the way.  more images

” It was a wonderful week in Bali. Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa – it is an amazing building in a fantastic location.  The view from the yoga deck and the ocean waves are truly memorable.  I should have been focusing of the breath, but was often distracted by the views.   Cate and Erin were truly inspirational teachers.  I hope to find some time to practice both yoga and painting. “
