Our retreat program is now in its 6th year and I welcome you to come and experience the luxury of finding everything you want, all taken care of, allowing you to bask in the pleasures of Nature, experiencing the depth of well-being which arises from being truly relaxed and finding your creativity flourish amidst supportive friendship and professional tuition, freely given throughout this unforgettable week.
We not only welcome back some of our most loved art instructors, Cate Edwards and Nadine Bastow, but as our offering expands, I’d like to introduce you to renowned Western Australian artist Carmen McFaull, and the fascinating Melbourne artist Michael Mott whose work I fell in love with the moment I saw it sitting in a swanky Melbourne shop window a while ago.
In 2017 we welcome Carol Knight, a radiant and respected yogi from Bellingen on Australia’s East Coast who has been teaching yoga for 25 years.
Whether you’re a practiced artist or yogi or a complete novice, you’ll find you will flourish amongst nurturing expertise from teachers and companionable support from other retreatants, whilst I’m there to support you all and ensure that the retreats run smoothly, allowing you to glide from one element to another without wondering how it all happens.
Our maximum class size of 12 ensures plenty of one-on-one work with each arts tutor and personal attention in the yoga classes.
June 19 – June 26, 2017
“ ‘Taking time, Making Space’ is our signature art and yoga retreat, and 2017 will be the sixth consecutive year that we have presented it at Villa Nilaya Bali. You will learn a wealth of painting techniques, working with still life, a variety of water-based media, print-making and collage, and you’ll definitely be able to complete two canvases, whilst those returning might now feel ready to reach for a larger canvas”
July 1 – July 8, 2017
“I’m in the is in the unique position of having been both a student and a teacher on these retreats in Bali, so I really appreciate how exciting it is to arrive and want to get the most out of a week!
