GOING ON RETREAT
Going on a retreat is a unique opportunity for each of us to direct our attention away from our more familiar ways of connecting with the world, and to explore our understanding our usual mode of perception.
When we change our external environment to harness an understanding of our internal environment we give ourselves the best opportunity to focus and concentrate on our endeavors.
A retreat is a wonderful opportunity for the creative spirit to flower as we take time to understand ourselves a little more.
The direction of the attention inwards on a retreat reduces the ‘noise’ in the mind to reveal those ‘still forest pools’. This is accessible to all of us when we give ourselves a chance. Outward practices such as art, yoga and meditation, serve as a roadmap to our inner world.
And being with others who are similarly inclined helps support our progress.
Our art and yoga retreats are very special times for the participants, many of who return each year to rediscover, renew and refresh their spirt, as well as extend their creativity, and all the while, amongst an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and learning.
